Ministries *
The Church is not just a building, it is a body. In 1 Corinthians 12, Scripture teaches that believers are like parts of a body. Each part is different. Each part is necessary. Each part has a unique function. When every part works together, the body is healthy and strong. That’s why we have different ministries. One Body. Many Gifts.
God has given every believer spiritual gifts, talents, experiences, and passions. No two people are wired exactly the same and that’s intentional. Some are gifted in teaching. Some in serving. Some in encouragement. Some in leadership. Some in hospitality. Some in administration. Some in creativity and worship.
In Romans 12:4–8, we are reminded that we have different gifts according to the grace given to us and we are called to use them. Ministries exist to create space for those gifts to be activated.
Why Ministries Matter!
Different ministries allow:
Children to learn about Jesus in age-appropriate ways
Youth to grow in identity and purpose
Men and women to be strengthened in community
Families to be supported
Outreach to reach beyond the walls
Worship to lead hearts into God’s presence
Care teams to minister during life’s hardest seasons
Each ministry is not separate from the Church, it is an expression of the Church. When you step into a ministry, you are not “volunteering for an organization.” You are functioning as part of the Body of Christ.
Discovering Your Place! You were created on purpose and for a purpose. In Ephesians 4:11–12, we see that God equips the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ. Ministry isn’t reserved for a few, it’s for every believer.
Sometimes discovering your place looks like:
Trying a ministry for a season
Serving alongside someone already involved
Identifying what stirs your heart
Noticing where you naturally thrive
When your gifting meets a need in the church, ministry happens.
We Grow Together! A healthy church is not built on a few people doing everything. It grows when everyone contributes something.
When you serve:
You grow spiritually
You build meaningful relationships
You strengthen the church
You reflect Christ to others
Different ministries exist because God designed us differently and together we reveal His fullness.
Our Ministries! Faithful in What We Have. Expectant for What Is Coming.
At New Life Fellowship, we believe the Church is a living, growing body. Right now, we are faithfully stewarding the ministries God has placed in our hands, while trusting Him for continued growth.
Hospitality Ministry
Hospitality is often the first expression of Christ’s love someone experiences when they walk through our doors. This team creates a warm, welcoming environment through greeting, connection, and intentional care. From first impressions to meaningful conversations, Hospitality helps people feel seen, valued, and at home. First impressions matter, and our hospitality team plays an important role in helping newcomers and regular attenders alike feel comfortable and connected. A friendly smile, a helpful conversation, or a warm cup of coffee can make a meaningful difference in someone’s experience at church.
Scripture encourages us to practice hospitality with joy: "Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling." -1 Peter 4:9 Those who serve in this ministry enjoy connecting with people and helping create an atmosphere where relationships can grow. Through simple acts of welcome and service, the Hospitality Ministry helps our church reflect the heart of Jesus and the joy of gathering together as a church family.
Facilities Ministry
The condition of our space reflects our heart to honor God and serve others well. The Facilities team maintains, prepares, and improves our building so that it remains a safe, functional, and welcoming place for ministry to happen. Behind-the-scenes work makes front-line ministry possible. From setting up rooms and maintaining equipment to caring for the building and grounds, the Facilities Ministry plays an important role in supporting every other ministry in the church. Their faithful work behind the scenes helps ensure that services, events, and gatherings can take place smoothly.
Scripture reminds us that whatever we do, we can do it as an act of service to the Lord: "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters." -Colossians 3:23 This ministry is a great place for those who enjoy practical service, problem-solving, and caring for the spaces that support the life of the church. Through their work, the Facilities Team helps prepare a place where people can gather, grow in faith, and experience community.
Kid’s Ministry
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me.” Our Kid’s Ministry invests in the next generation by teaching biblical truth, cultivating relationship with Jesus, and creating an environment where children feel loved and known. We believe what happens in a child’s heart today shapes the Church of tomorrow.
Through Bible stories, worship, creative activities, and meaningful relationships, children learn who Jesus is and how His love shapes their lives. Our goal is to help kids discover that following Jesus is joyful, exciting, and life-changing.
At New Life Fellowship, we love the joyful sounds of children laughing, learning, and having fun as they grow in their faith. Those sounds remind us that our church is alive and that God is working in the hearts of the next generation. Our caring volunteers serve faithfully to create a welcoming place where kids feel known, valued, and excited to learn.
Scripture reminds us of the importance of guiding children in faith: "Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it." -Proverbs 22:6 If you have a heart for children and want to help the next generation know and follow Jesus, Kids Ministry is a wonderful place to serve and make a lasting impact.
Tech Support Ministry
The Tech Support Ministry serves behind the scenes to help every part of our service run smoothly so the message of the Gospel can be clearly seen and heard. While much of their work happens out of sight, their role is essential in supporting worship, teaching, and communication within the church.
Our tech team manages sound, presentation slides, lighting, livestream(eventually), and other technical elements that help create a welcoming and distraction-free worship environment. By using technology thoughtfully and faithfully, they help ensure that the focus of each service remains on encountering God and hearing His Word.
Scripture reminds us that every role in the body of Christ matters: "Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit… To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good." -1 Corinthians 12:4,7 Members of the Tech Team work closely with the worship and service leaders to prepare each week. No prior experience is necessary, just a willingness to learn, serve, and support the ministry of the church.
If you enjoy technology, problem-solving, or working behind the scenes, the Tech Support Ministry is a meaningful way to use your gifts to serve the church and help others connect with God. From sound and slides to media, the Tech Support team ensures that services run smoothly and distractions are minimized so hearts can focus on worship and the Word.
Prayer & Healing Ministry
Prayer is at the heart of everything we do. Our Prayer & Healing Ministry exists to create space for people to encounter God’s presence, find encouragement, and experience the healing power of Jesus. We believe that God hears every prayer and cares deeply about every need. This ministry includes individuals who feel called to stand in prayer for others, whether during church services, special prayer times, or throughout the week. Team members pray for physical healing, emotional restoration, spiritual growth, and the many needs within our church and community.
Our prayer team serves with compassion, confidentiality, and faith, believing the promise of Scripture: "Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord." -James 5:14 Whether you need prayer, want to grow in your own prayer life, or feel called to pray for others, this ministry offers a place to step into the power and privilege of prayer.
Worship Ministry
The Worship Ministry helps lead our church family into the presence of God through music, creativity, and heartfelt praise. Worship is more than singing songs, it is a response to who God is and all He has done. Our goal is to have a worship team that can use their gifts to help create an environment where the congregation can connect with God. Through a blend of contemporary worship songs and beloved hymns, we seek to honor God and lead others in authentic worship.
Scripture reminds us: "Sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth." — Psalm 96:1 The Worship Ministry works closely with the tech team and service leaders to prepare meaningful worship experiences each week. More than musical skill, we value hearts that are humble, teachable, and passionate about glorifying God. If you love worship, music, or serving behind the scenes to help others encounter God, this ministry may be a place where your gifts can grow and bless the church.
A Season of Growth!
This list is not exhaustive. We recognize that we are not yet fully operating in every ministry area God may have for us. Some callings are still forming. Some teams are still growing. Some ministries are still waiting for the right people to step forward. And that’s okay.
Growth in the Kingdom is often gradual, intentional, and Spirit-led. We believe there will be growth, not just in numbers, but in depth, maturity, leadership, and impact. As God brings increase, we anticipate new ministries forming, existing ministries expanding, and more people discovering their place within the Body. In Ephesians 4:16, Scripture says the whole body grows and builds itself up in love as each part does its work.
We are excited for what God is building. We are faithful in what we have. And we are expectant for what is coming.
